What will happen this year in college football? This has been an unpredictable season thus far. Missouri and Michigan State went the first 8 weeks of the season perfect just to get slaughtered yesterday to Nebraska and Iowa respectively. Alabama is back up to 5 in the SEC polls with no surprise. We are still about 4 weeks away from the end of the season but the question can't be avoided...What will happen if Oregon, Boise St, Auburn and TCU all finish undefeated? Most say that it would be, and should be, Oregon and Auburn in the national championship. So then does the BCS stick Boise and TCU into another bowl together like they did last year in order to avoid the potential embarrassment of TWO teams from non-BCS conferences beating two BCS teams? I have to say that was quite the cowerdly move by them last year and I wouldn't put it past them to do it again. I wouldn't be too overly bothered if both Auburn and Oregon finish undefeated and went to the National Championship. I would on the other hand be quite angry if Auburn and/or Oregon lose a game and then Alabama/Ohio State jump over TCU and Boise to get to the National Championship. I think that by not losing a game in over 2 season that they will have earned the right to be there if nobody else is undefeated. I guess well have to wait and see how it all unfolds.

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that there should be a tourny with all the undefeated teams with like maybe one wildcard. That way it might end up every year being like a four team semi final and final bracket. Just two weekends. What do you think of that? It would then give more teams a shot at the national title even if the BCS computer doesnt think they deserve it. There is PLENTY of time for this in the month of december and january. all the bowl games would still make their money and more. It would only take one more weekend than what is already used. AH!!! why not! come on Obama?! I though you were going to do something about this! lol
