Do the Heat Have What It Takes...

So Bosh showed up in Toronto for the first time since he signed with Heat. The crowd booed him and he scored 25 points and the Heat won. Not too shabby for his homecoming game.

Now the question is, are they strong enough to win this year? I think this is a good point in the season to review their progress as a team. After a slow start they have definitely started to figure things out. They are finally starting to get some chemistry.

Although I don't think they are quite there offensively. Their defense has been good and they have proven to be strong but statistically their offense is not where it needs to be. Yes, they don't really have strong big but they have figured out a way to get around it(will happen with James and Wade on same team). Boston has been playing together for years now and the Heat have been together for half of the year, yet a couple points separate them. Now, the playoffs are a whole different season and Boston has a lot of depth in the experience category. What do you guys think? Can Miami find a way to do it this year? Or do they still need a year or two to work out the kinks?

  1. Not this year. Boston is soooooooo good. I think the East is going to be extremely hard to win this year. Chicago will go deep. So will Orlando. I will never totally discount Bron. He is a freak and has yet to really take over the league, it could happen now. I just dont think it will happen for the Heat this year. Maybe next year. That what I think, not what I want.

I want Boston to play terrible and lose badly and the Heat to meet LA in the Finals!

  2. Looks like the East is once again, like the days of old, a power house now that the Knicks have Melo and who knows how well the "New" Nets will do with Deron Williams now! The Heat have a couple mountains to climb before a ring will be on the fingers of the big three!

  3. I dont know if they have the complete package to become champions...yet. 3 all-stars...check, but to beat a team with as much talent and well-roundedness as Boston or the quickness and power that the Bulls are playing with? Not in a seven game series. But i am not counting them out of a possible eastern conference appearance, but champions? nope
