So, the Boston Celtics pounded the Detroit Pistons Tuesday night. After the game Charlie Villanueva tweeted that Garnett made it personal by calling him, "a cancer patient". Everyone knows that Garnett is notorious for his trash talking. So this is not surprising. ESPNBoston.com reports that one of the tweets says: "KG called me a cancer patient, I'm pissed because, u know how many people died from cancer, and he's tossing lie it's a joke."
Now here were Garnett's comments back, "My comment to Charlie Villanueva was in fact 'You are cancerous to your team and our league,'" Garnett said. "I would never be insensitive to the brave struggle that cancer patients endure. I have lost loved ones to this deadly disease and have a family member currently undergoing treatment. I would never say anything that distasteful. The game of life is far bigger than the game of basketball."
Now my comments to Kg are, "Hey bud when a guy suffers from alopecia universalis, a medical condition that results in hair loss, just leave the cancer chirps alone. He cannot grow hair because of this condition and so whether you said he has cancer or is cancerous to the league, probably not the best move."

I think if you have to make a statement to explain what you meant by it then you obviously shouldnt say it in the first place! So KG stop trying to justify your original comment...YOUR A TOOL!!!
ReplyDeleteRachel...well said. KG needs to grow up. Just watching Celtics games you can read his lips during the games...the guy has a ridiculous trash mouth. I don't really believe Garnett's story, he's a fruit cake. Com'on who throws the cancer line around to a guy who can't grow hair. Competitive, old school trash talk is one thing, but when you cross the line, as Garnett often does, it's pathetic and tasteless.

ReplyDeleteThink about how he was raised. He used to put cardboard in his shoes to keep his feet comfortable growing up because he didn't have money to buy new shoes. No excuses though, he is super ghetto.
My favorite KG quote, "Too much coffee. Too much coffee and Gatorade. It's a hell of a mix. If you're ever tired in the morning, just try that mix, and tell me what you think. "
The guy is just raw and lame.
