Ireland vs. France

Well I don't know who has seen the Ireland vs. France World Cup Qualifier highlights, but when I saw them, I witnessed the worst call ever! Henry takes a ball completely off his arm, I mean blatantly! And then throws a cross over to Gallas for the game winning goal. All we hear about is keeping the human aspect! No I'm sorry, this a new age and we have the technology to review calls, and we should get the RIGHT FREAKIN call. A small country that worships this sport, has to suffer now, because of a poor call made by the referees.

  1. a small country that worships the sport should never have put themselves in that situation. both countries were desperate to qualify and were favored to qualify before this rare playoff. this is really hard. this will follow henry the rest of his life, just as it did maradona.
but... i still dont think they should have instant replay in soccer. i cant explain it. ive played the game for years and cant imagine the flow of the game stopping to let the refs watch the replay for a few minutes. its just not what FIFA will ever do. i wouldnt change anything either

  2. Well if you would like the wrong calls to continue to be made, thats your call. But for me justice needs to prevail, and the right call is the right call, they do it in hockey and its a quick process that hardly stops the game. And what if the scale even gets bigger like a world cup final or a premier league race, and your team is the one to suffer from human error, what then....
